IoES Pritzker 2017 and Society for Conservation Biology News

Kevin Njabo was awarded the IoES Pritzker Environment and Sustainability Education Fellow for 2017.

This program was endowed by Jeanne and Tony Pritzker and each year outstanding instructors that are contributing to the IoES programs are nominated. Fellows are then selected by the IoES faculty “based on their level of expertise, scholarship, potential to contribute to the IoES academic program teaching needs, and commitment to providing innovative, forward thinking courses that focus on environmental and sustainability issues.”

He was also elected to the position of Vice President of the Society for Conservation Biology.  This is a global community of conservation professionals devoted to scientific study of the maintenance, loss, and restoration of biological diversity. The society has over 10,000 members worldwide, including students and those in related non-academic sectors.
